Here we have an LP recording of 'The Boris Christoff Opera Show'. As with his earlier recording under Debrowen, Mr Christoff sings THREE roles which is a trifle excessive. The actual recoding date, 1963, is highly significant as the set was due to be conducted by Kyril Kondrashin but the day before the first session was due to begin, the Berlin Wall went up and Kondrashin was not allowed to leave the USSR. Cluyten's shows his utter professionalism and musical skill by taking over the project at the last minute and turning in a remarkable performance. The actual recording is too well known to need any comment but we will remind you that the balance and Stereo spread is generally good - though the sound does rather favour our 'star'. The main reason for purchasing the set is for the two autographs which were obtained when both singers were appearing at Covent Garden.

Our records have always been handled with care and stored correctly. However as we are disposing of our entire record collection, time precludes us playing every single item to check whether there are any faults that are not apparent from a purely visual check. To avoid any dispute buyers should be aware that they buy our vinyl with the above proviso in mind.
