Richard Wagner
Siegfried
Alberto Remedios, Norman Bailey, Rita Hunter, Derek Hammond-Stroud, Gregory Dempsey, Clifford Grant, Anne Collins, Maurine London
Barry Tuckwell, solo horn
Sadler's Wells Opera Orchestra
Reginald Goodall
There are a few tragedies in opera and the fact there isn't a single snippet of film/video made to preserve for eternity this stunning production for posterity, is surely one of them. This LP recording is too well known to need much comment. Goodall's command of the huge orchestra is remarkable. His tiny stature hid a mountain of an interpreter and both cast and orchestra excel themselves to fulfill his demands. If you love Wagner then your collection is incomplete without this set.
Recorded: 1973
Booklet contains a commentary, synopsis and a libretto in English
EMI SLS 875
Stereo 5 LP's
Records manufactured in the UK in 1974
Condition:
Vinyl - Good, clean and unmarked.

Please remember
- owing to their weight, the postal charge for LP's is expensive.
- our records have always been handled with care and stored correctly. However as we are disposing of our entire record collection, time precludes us playing every single item to check whether there are any faults that are not apparent from a purely visual check. To avoid any dispute buyers should be aware that they buy our vinyl with the above proviso in mind.
