Modest Mussorgsky
Scenes from Boris Godounov
Prologue, Scene 2
Act 1, Scene 1
Act 1, Scene 2
Act 2
Act 3, Scene 1
Act 3, Scene 2
Act 4, Scene 2
Boris Christoff, Eugenia Zareska, André Bielecki, Nicolaï Gedda
Paris Choeurs Russes
French National Radio Orchestra
Issay Dobrowen
This LP contains excerpts from Christoff's earlier recording where, for the first time, he tackled all three of the main bass roles. He manages to make each character into something different but it is still Christoff through and through. The rest of the cast is excellent with Gedda and Zareska delivering an exciting performance of the Love Duet, if one can call it that. The bells in the Coronation Scene are mad! The is an original issue LP so the price is a little higher.
Recorded: 1952

Our records have always been handled with care and stored correctly. However as we are disposing of our entire record collection, time precludes us playing every single item to check whether there are any faults that are not apparent from a purely visual check. To avoid any dispute buyers should be aware that they buy our vinyl with the above proviso in mind.
