Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Piano Concerto No. 27
Sonata No. 11
Wilhelm Backhaus, piano
Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
Karl Böhm
Even after all these years, this Mozart 'Piano Concerto 27' still remains a wonderful performance. It is one of those remarkable recordings where everything seems to come together to produce something exceptional. Backhaus' playing of the famous 'Sonata No 11' is especially delightful and he certainly brings out the gentle humour of the 'Rondo alla Turca'. The sound is still acceptable though a little dated. The balance between the soloist and orchestra is almost perfection.

To avoid any dispute buyers should be aware that they buy our vinyl with the above proviso in mind.
