Richard Wagner
Der fliegende Holländer
Franz Crass, Anja Silja, Josef Greindl, Fritz Uhl, Res Fischer, Georg Paskuda
Chorus and Orchestra of the Bayreuth Festival
Wolfgang Sawallisch
The enclosed booklet contains the autographs of Wilhelm Pitz, Josef Greindl and Anja Silja.
Please note that we are prepared to sell the book separately in which case the postage costs will be adjusted accordingly.
If you would care to purchase either the Booklet or Box set and records separately, then please contact us so we can quote you a different price. Naturally, the Vinyl and box will be considerably cheaper on their own. Hope this helps.
This live Bayreuth recording has been around for a long time and, we are sure, there is no need to go into a long analysis over the performance. We will simply say that the cast, orchestra, conducting and recording are very good with the slightly wooden sound capturing a little of what you would hear inside the theatre.
The main reason for purchasing the set is for the three autographs which were obtained outside the Bayreuth Theatre in 1965.
Recorded: 1961
Book contains a commentary and libretto in German and a summary/synopsis in French/English.
Philips ABL3412/13/14
Mono
Record manufactured in the UK in 1962
Condition:

Owing to their weight, the postal charge for LP's is expensive.
Our records have always been handled with care and stored correctly. However as we are disposing of our entire record collection, time precludes us playing every single item to check whether there are any faults that are not apparent from a purely visual check. To avoid any dispute buyers should be aware that they buy our vinyl with the above proviso in mind.
